It took humanity millions of years to build urban civilizations. Yet now, why are we beginning to choose to "return to the mountains"? While life in cities is optimized, "returning to nature" is not just a trend; it has become a movement where we voluntarily let go of the "right answer" and redefine the concept of "distance."
The outdoor lifestyle may be a prototype of future living, existing in the gap between city and nature, technology and body, calculation and sensibility. NOTHOMME BLUE will focus on and record the choices and journeys of real individuals. It is a project to visualize the layers of lifestyle, values, and aesthetics that underpin these choices.
For this first installment, we feature Xiao Pan, an active figure in China, and his cycling tour around Hokkaido.
